Cleo Meg from Poshmark… πŸ˜’

I got the Cleo Meg 28e from poshmark today…

All I will say is, I am NOT happy with the bra. I should have went with my gut instinct, and not bought it.

This is a picture from the listing.

The top part of the pictures is how it originally looked. The bottom picture was added when I asked the seller if there was any fading there. She said ‘no that’s just the lighting’. When I looked at the second picture, I thought okay that could be the lighting. So I offered $11 for the bra, and she accepted. I actually ended up paying $16 because I had to pay shipping. Well, technically I paid a little over $2, because I sold one of my bras there and the money was available in my account.

I got the bra today….

I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

So as you can see, this bra was not clean. And there was fading/discoloration on the closure.

When I messaged that seller she said the bra was cleaned right before it was shipped out (yeah right), and that if I wanted to return the bra, I could and she would refund me. πŸ˜’. There is no way in hell that bra was washed before bring shipped out.

It looks like there was a bunch of deodorant caked up on the armpit area, both on the inside area and the outside area. It also looked like there was something (deodorant perhaps?) caked on the bottom part of the gore. Why deodorant would be there, I don’t know. But it was gross. There was also some sort of animal hair embedded in the wires near the gore. Now, I don’t own an animal, and I don’t plan on it’s any time soon, but how does animal hair get stuck INTO your bra?

Me being the person I am, I hate going through the hassle of return, so I decided to wash the bra. This would have been the perfect bra to use a salad spinner on, but I don’t own one. So I used my nephews bucket (the same bucket I used to dye my princess/Portia hybrid bra). I filled if with hot tap water, a few drops of dish detergent (to get that grease and grime out), and some detergent. I sprayed the armpit area and gore area with this shout spray that I have. I put the bra in and swished it around, rinsed and repeated. I then rinsed the bra off with hot water, and then put hot water in the bucket with the bra, and let it soak for a few hours (I had a family gather in to go to). Came back, rinsed the bra with cold-ish water, and now it’s drying in a towel.

This isn’t dirty water, it’s water with HD detergent.

Color: yellow

The bra:

It is a beautiful summer yellow.

There are the signature embroidered dots throughout the bra.

There is a fucshia bow at the gore with a button in the middle

Unlike most unlined bras, this does not have any bows where the cup and the straps meet

Embroidery on the lace

I didn’t realize until I was taking pictures that there’s little bows embroidered on the top of the cup

The straps

The review:

I love absolutely everything about this bra.

The side profile I so round. But that is something Cleo bras are known for. There is literally no flaws in this bra. No stabby gores, no space in the fabric. NOTHING.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t shocked when I first put this bra on. How could a bra that us for FOT, fit me? Someone that is FOB? Wearing this bra (as well as Panache Jasmin) made me realize that I am most likely even, with tall roots, so I function as FOT. Or more correctly, {some} FOT bras work with my shape.

Here are some pics I took from when I first got the bra (excuse the color)

So I got this bra as an exchange from a bratabase member. She contacted me and asked if I was willing to trade my new CK Princess bra (which I am one realizing I never reviewed  ) in 30dd for this bra> Cleo Marcie 30dd. I wasn’t too sure at first because at the time I preferred to wear 28e, as that was the size that mainly fit me (I know 28e and 30dd are sister sizes, but the tightness of the band in 28s seem to make the bras fit better). But then I realized the curvy Kate didn’t fit me anyway, so I said yes to the exchange. And I’m so glad I did!

Cleo Meg 30d

This isn’t going to be a review per se, but it’ll be as close to one as I can get because I don’t own this bra anymore.

I bought this from The Lingerie Store back in July for about $15+ shipping. Now if something’s sounds too good to be true, it probably is…. When I received the bra, I saw that it had about 3 brown stains. I have no idea what the stains were, but it went through the fabric, so I had a feeling it probably wouldn’t wash out. I quickly called the store to see what I could do. I didn’t just want to return it and have time think the stain came from me/my house. I spoke to Amber and she was really nice about it. She told me to mail it back, and they would refund me the full amount that I paid. They refunded me quickly.

i wasn’t sure what they were going to do with the bra, and I hoped they didn’t sell it. But as of now. I can see the bra is still on there site, so beware, if you buy it, it will have stains in it. That’s probably why the bra was so cheap when I bought it.

The fit:

A few things I remember about the fit of this bra

I had the straps at the longest setting, and they still felt like they were digging in. Something I’d never felt before when I was wearing the incorrect size.

This bra, as with all of the other cleo bras I have, had an effect of pushing all of my breasts to the center of my chest. Sounds good in theory, and may be what women with bigger breasts want. But on me, it just made me look smaller. When I looked at myself from the front (especially with a shirt on), I was like, geez where did my breasts go? 😨’ Actually, I think the only cleo soft bra that doesn’t do that is the Lucy. I am used to having an hourglass shape, albeit a slim one. With this bra (and the Maya & Minnie) I look like a (slim) pear shape. While neither shape is bad, I prefer to make my breasts look bigger rather than smaller. Bigger without the use of padding/molding.

The cups felt simultaneously too big and too small. Too small because I believe I had some side boob escaping– it was lower than what I’d been used to. Too big because there was some gapping, and wrinkling Β  In the upper part of the cup, but not directly at the top- basically where the purple strip of fabric was.

I have both of these pictures in my gallery, and I didn’t take notes on the actual fit, so I assume one before S&S’ing, and one is after.

Gapping at the top when arms are raised.

I do wish that I come across this bra in a 28e, because I think it would fit better. I do feel that when I come across bras in sister sizes 28e & 30dd, the 28e seems to fit me better. (Yes, I know a 28e, would be a bigger cup size)

Cleo Jude 28e

Color: black

About the Bra:

This is a molded contour cup tshirt bra. There is lightly lined, enough to cover nipples, but not overly thick like a push up bra. Most of the bra is black, except for the bright pink bow on the front, the ribbon along the cups, the straps, and the closure.

The review:

I decided to keep this bra, since it wasn’t getting any attention on bratabase. A lot of people say this bra doesn’t fit most women, and it seems to be $15 on amazon quit often, so I’d have to lose money in trader to sell it. And even with a lower price, I couldn’t be guaranteed to sell it, since it’s not the best fitting bra.

The first time I wore this, I wore it two days in a row. I don’t even remember why. So this is a review made after the bra was worn.

So like 90% of the rest of the people that have tried this bra on, it doesn’t fit me. I get a ridiculous amount of cleavage after I S&S.

It is very closed on top, so it isn’t a good fit for FOT shapes, or probably shallow shapes either. I am FOB/even, and you can see it’s cutting into my tissue as well. I believe this is why it doesn’t fit that many women. It’s too closed on top.

The gore tacks

It’s too shallow at the bottom, so I have space between my breast and the wire.

The side of the cups come up kind of high. High enough that it bothered me every so often (but not too much)

I will admit, this bra is actually very comfortable on. One of the days I wore it, I literally forgot I was wearing a bra. I walked into my bedroom and thought, ‘I should probably put a bra on’ then I looked in the mirror and remembered I was wearing one. It was that comfortable. Β Having said that, I wouldn’t buy another one. These days I prefer to wear soft bras.

The bra:

There is only one bow in this bra, and it had a small bird ornament hanging from it

**pics of the bra after it was thoroughly washed**

The review:

There is some wrinkling on the band

As well as throughout the cups

At the top

The bottom

Even though there is some space/wrinkling, I do consider this to be a bra that fits.

The gore tacks

I initially thought the wires were a little wide, so I took pictures after I took the bra off to see.

As you can see the gore does sit on my breast tissue somewhat, but all my bras do. Β I think I need a gore where one wire sits on top of the other.

My breasts no longer look like this. I have dark marks from stabby gores. πŸ˜“

Pics when I wore the bra to work.

Beautiful. 😍

1 month later

Overall there seems to be less wrinkling/more filing out the cup.

There is still some wrinkling on the bottom, but it looks like there’s not as much as before

Another day when I wore this to work. It was undetectable under my shirt.

At some point since I joined bratabase/abrathatfits my measurements changed slightly. So the pictures could be before and after.

I’ve worn this bra a handful of times since getting it off poshmark. I don’t recall having any complaints with the wires. The only time the wires bothered me was when I wore a few uncomfortable bras consecutive days for like a week, then when I got to this bra, the gore bothered me after a few hours.

Cleo Marcie black babydoll 32d

Color: black

Style: This is a babydoll.

It does have a hook/eye closure like a bra.

The top portion very much looks like a bra.

Much like the bra, there is a polka dot bow at the top of the gore, between the cups

And, there are no bows where the cups and the straps meet.

There are embroidered polka dots on the cups

The top of the cup has the signature bow above the lattice design on the lace

The skirt part of the baby doll also has embroidered polka dots, as well as a picot trim

The polka dots are slightly raised.

The fit:

I bought this intending to turn it into a bra. So at the time of this post, I haven’t worn the babydoll. I don’t have anyone to wear it for, plus it’s too cold.

It,is actually cute as is.

I really love the rounded profile I get from Marcie bras.

The back doesn’t cover everything…

This is almost a perfect fit. Except, there seems to be a small area on both sides of the cup that bulges out. (My 32d raspberry Marcie did the same thing, so it’s something between my breasts and 32 bands.

A bratabase member suggested that I sister size up for this babydoll and I’m glad that I did. I originally put the 30dd in my cart (eBay), but it sold out while I kept debating on whether or not to get it.

Please sw stay tuned for the alteration post. πŸ‘

Do you own a Marcie babydoll? Have you altered one?

Cleo Marcie 32d raspberry

Color: raspberry

The bra:

There is a magenta & white polka dot bow at the center of the gore.

There is not bow where the cups and the straps meet.

Embroidered dots throughout fabric

Embroidery on the lace of the cup

Bow embroidery at the top of the lace

One thing I’ve noticed on done of my newer Cleo bras is writing on the wire casing ‘Crafted for fit. Styled for fun.’ Cute

The straps

Something cute I noticed with the tags. They added a tag.Β Coppafeel.org

The fit:

I bought this bra specifically to alter, since I couldn’t find this color in 30dd. So as it is, with a 32 band it is a little big.

Nicely rounded profile

Wrinkling in the cup in the smaller breast.

There is some space in the cups, and the gore tacks (somewhat)

The band isn’t completely straight, but close.

Please stay tuned for the post on the alterations!

Cleo Darcy 30e

Color: Green w/ pink flamingos

The fit: I bought this bra knowing it wasn’t for my shape. Cleo Darcy is a Juna clone. Both bras reportedly best fit for wide shallow breasts, which my breasts are not. Well, I do think my breasts are wide, as I have breast tissue in my armpit, and I have close set breasts. Anyway, this bra did not fit.Β When I read the reviews, a few people said that the bra ran small in both band and cup, so I sized up to a 30E. I didn’t think about the wires/width when I got that size. What I didn’t realize, until after I received the bra, was that the people that said the bra ran small, were talking about the blue/red/white color way, and not the green/pink color way.

As you can tell from the side pics, the band rides up. I didn’t realize this until I saw the pictures. I tried to pull it down, so that it was even, but it kept riding up. It did t feel loose, but apparently it was.

I love the rounded shape this bra gave me. I kept going back and forth as to whether or not I should keep this bra. It was really cute, but it didn’t fit. What really cemented my decision to return the bra was the fact that the sides of the cup rubbed against my armpit. The side came up to high, and the wire was just too wide. I could deal with the wide wires, but not the rubbing armpit. It wasn’t bearable to wear for 15 minutes, so there’s no way I could wear it to work.

The top of the cup was flat against my skin, on my bigger breast.

But the lace doesn’t completely lie flat.

You can see in this pic below how much room was at the top of the cup on my smaller breast.

Ideally, I would have liked the wire to be about an inch or so more forward

While it felt okay on, when I slouched down (a lot) there seemed to be a little bit of space at the bottom of the cup.

The bottom of the gore didn’t touch my skin (is it because the band is a little too big? My neon pink dessous did the same thing.)

I hastily decided to return the bra, so I didn’t remember to take pics before I sent it off. I do want to mention though, that this bra only has one vertical seam. I’ve seen it mentioned that it has two seams.

I did re-order this bra in a smaller size 30dd. I know it will probably be too small, but I guess I don’t care. Lol. I really wanted to have some cleavage with this bra, and I didn’t get it with the 30e. There was no 28e available, so hopefully the band won’t still be too big.

Cleo Neve 30D

Color: floral

About the bra: this is a molded bra- a bra that has molded cups that are made from synthetic fibers. This particular bra (thankfully) doesn’t have any seams in the cups. Molded bras will keep their shape.

The main color of this bra isn’t white; it looks the way white fabric does when it gets washed with something that bled red or pink in the water. It’s like a pale pink.

The gore on this bra is very short, with a cute little orange button.

The band has the design on it.

A close up. The bottom has pink ‘frilly’ detailing

The straps are relatively thin and blue with slightly raised dots.

This bra reminds me very much of the ‘wear everywhere lightly lined’ bras from the VS pink line, except the cups are thicker. Kind of thick for my tastes.

Cup from the inside.

When I received the bra, the cups were stuffed with tissue paper. I guess the person that processed this did that to keep the cups from flattening out? My two Neves came this way, but my Jude didnt.

The review:

Okay, so technically, this bra doesn’t fit correctly. There’s quadboob galore (aka cleavage), and from this pic, it looks like the wires are below my IMF. The cups are essentially too small, and too shallow on the bottom for my breasts.

You can see the quadboob from the side.

I like the shape, but I’m not particularly in love with it. I’m not sure why I took this pic.

This is a cute bra. Definitely for the young at heart, and those that like florals. When I tried the bra on, I did feel as though it was tight where the wires were, but that could be due to the fact that the cups are too small. And I think the molding is thick enough that it may show through certain tops. If you don’t gave any quad boob going on. I have quadboob, and I think there may be a line where the bra ends.

Cleo Maya 28dd

Color: animal print

About the bra:

This bra features two different fabrics, lace and a non stretchy polyester/polyamide blend, both which have animal prints on them. I’ve see women mention they didn’t like the different animal prints, and while I can see why they would say that, I personally think it’s cute.

The upper mesh part, has pink and green stitching, and a pink serged outer seam.

The gore in the middle features a neon green bow. The green is the same as the stitching on the mesh.

It’s slightly greener in person.

The actual cups have animal print in a dark blue, blue, light green, pink, and white. Both cups have different patterns. On my particular bra the left cup has a darker color scheme than the right cup.

Β

The band s a dark blue color, with pink at the bottom.

The straps, as well as the hook and eye closure is a beautiful coral pink.

The review:

I love this bra. When I first saw it, I said “I gotta have it!” So I bought it in a 30dd, but it didn’t fit, so I got it in a 28dd. This is the best fitting bra, next to the cleo lucy.

the gore tacks. Although I think it is a little on the high side.

There is no gapping at the top!!

This bra has a lot of uplift.

Β

This is almost VS level of cleavage!

Another view of the cleavage.

The only thing is, I think if I gain even a little bit of weight in my breasts, I’ll start quadboobing. But when I gain weight, it goes to my lower half.

The side view, is nice, and rounded.

I personally would prefer more side coverage. The one issue I always seem to have is not enough side coverage with most bras. But most of the bras I have don’t fit.

Something I notice about {the} Cleo bras {that I own}, they seem to push everything to the front, making me look slimmer. I think most women would like this, but I’m already only about 108lbs, so I don’t really want to look slimmer. I also think it makes my breasts look smaller, which again is not something I want.

But this is a bra I will definitely keep, as long as it fits. ☺️
