Claudette Paloma 28f

Color: Pointe Shoe (a very beautiful pale pink)

The bra:

I just can’t describe how beautiful this bra is. When I was ordering my bras form zulily, I did not hesitate when it came to this bra. It was the first bra in my cart.

The bottom portion of this bra is like a silky satin. It’s just so exquisite.

The upper portion is a soft mesh. It looks very delicate, but feels strong.

There’s a beautiful pink ribbon bow in the middle,

as as well as where the straps meet the cup

The strap also has that same ribbon (from the bow) going down the center.

Physically I love everything about this bra. It’s pink, which is my favorite color, it has a very soft a delicate feel about it. Visually there’s no flaws in this bra.

The fit:

The fit on the other hand…  Leaves much to be desired. 😥

Simply put, this bra doesn’t fit. It’s too small.

I don’t know of those pictures accurately show how tight this bra fits, so I took additional pictures.

This picture best shows how tight the cup is:

You can see an indent, and I believe the wrinkling in the fabric is due to the cup being too small.

It actually makes me sad that this bra doesn’t fit me. Out of the packaging, I thought this bra would be a perfect fit, and the longline would be too big. I’m surprised it was the opposite.

When I measured the depth of the cup, it only came to about 7.5 inches!! (approx 19.05 cm). So although this bra is labeled as a 28f, it has the depth of a 28dd. I don’t know if I got a freak pair,  or if this is how it’s supposed to run. It is essentially 2 sizes smaller than the size on the label. I am obviously not happy, because now I have to {attempt to} resell the bra. And if I try to buy this bra again, I’ll have to get a 28g 😳 and hope that my 28f wasn’t mislabeled.

Before I purchased this bra, I did search online for reviews, and the few that I saw said this bra runs smaller than the Claudette paramour. That was an understatement.

Consensus: Don’t buy this bra unless you have the measurements for it. 😕

Love Claudette polka dot longline 28f

I know I have like 30 bras to review, but I’m just got this one today, and I have to review it.  I love it so much.

When I first bought it, I kept going back and forth on which size to get. It was suggested to me to get a size 28f & I was like, there’s no way in hell that’s going to fit me. I did an ‘eenie meanie mini mo’ thing and ended up with a 28e in my cart. I ordered it, and then 5 minutes later cancelled that order and bought the 28f.

My hesitation was due to the fact, that none of my Claudette bras are size 28. They’re all 30″ bands, and some fit okay, others are too big. The looser fitting bands are on the 30Es. The cups on those are slightly big. The 30DDs I have, are slightly small in the cup. So it’s like I need a 30DD.5. So this is why I kept going back and forth between the sizes.

So enough about that…

Color: Peacoat polka dot (yes it says Peacoat, not Peacock).

The actual color of the bra is a mauve-y white, with dark blue, almost black polka dots, and a hot coral trim.

With flash

There’s the little coral bows

The straps have this beautiful ribbon going down the middle.

The inner lining of the bra is blue.

The fit/review:

Obviously I haven’t worn the bra yet, as I just got it earlier today. So this is how it fits right out of the bag. 😀

With a cami on:

My my nipple is very close to the apex of the bra. Initially I felt like on my bigger breast the wire was 1/4″ too far back, but I think I somehow fixed that. The band seems firm. If my 30e bras had as firm a band as this, they would be perfect.

I may wear this to work tomorrow, but I don’t know how comfortable a long line will be after working 8 hours.

(As of now) I love this bra and want more 28 band Claudette bras.

1/31/16 Update:

I wore the bra today to work. This really is my new favorite bra!!! I think I spent a good amount of time looking at my breasts in the mirror at work. So much time in fact that one of my managers commented that I must be in love with myself. Lol I feel like this bra makes me look like I have breasts. Unlike Cleo bras (like Minnie & Maya) this bra doesn’t push everything to the center, so some people may not like this bra. But I like it because the above cleo bras make me look flat chested (imo), and make me look thinner on top. I’ve always had issues with the size of my breasts, so anything that makes them look bigger (without padding), or not smaller, makes me happy.

The seams were visible under my knit shirt.

The side profile was actually very round, despite looking a little pointy in the pic.

Heres another front pic

and profile pic

Notice there isn’t any wrinkling in the cup as the pictures from yesterday. I think I forgot to swoop and scoop yesterday. Also, you can kind of see where my nipples are.

For some reason on my bigger breast, I did have some irritation on the side of the cup, but not on my smaller breast.

One thing I feel like I should note, is that the top and bottom of the gore tack, but in the middle where my 3 fingers are, isn’t tacking. I’m not sure why that is.

The boning beneath the wire on my left breast (smaller breast) kept digging every so often at work.

The size label on the bra kept irritating my skin, but a lot of tags irritate my skin. However, there seemed to be a sharp area that also kept irritating my skin when I was at work.

Green circle is where sharp area is.

Consensus: I need to get more of this bra. ASAP. I got off work 5 hours ago, and still haven’t taken this bra off. I’m at home chilling and still wearing my bra. I also feel the need to mention that the gore on this bra is not digging in, and that is a rare thing lately. I’ve had this bra on for 12 hours and no stabby gore! 😳😳😳 that’s unheard of!mthe gore does seem to be about 1/2 an inch higher than most of the bras I own (I haven’t taken measurements yet)

All in all, I await Love Claudette coming out with different colors of this bra. (I am very tempted to order this same exact bra, in the same color, and just dye it black).

Claudette cool cotton 30e update

I wore the Love Claudette 30e bra today at work. The original post can be found here.

I decided to wear this bra because my freya ignite (currently my decorate bra) was going to show through, and for some reason I can’t seem to find my freya Arabella. I haven’t worn that bra yet, but it’s not with my other bras. It was driving me crazy, but I didn’t have time to look for it this morning. And I didn’t particularly care to wear another dress. Plus the top of the bra was low enough that it wouldn’t accidentally peek through the top.

This is how the bra looked with my dress on.

This is how I wanted the bra to look. (I pulled the strap tighter)

This is how I looked without a bra on. (Very similar to the first pic, but less full on top)

Thankfully the bra wasn’t visible when worn with this dress.

However, at point during the day, I looked at my smaller breast and I noticed you could see where my areola was. Kind of like this:

Periodically throughout the day, the wire was digging in around my armpits. It wasn’t a constant thing, which was odd. It dug in on both sides.

There is some irritation from previous ill fitting VS bras (at the top).

I knew when I put it on, that there was a possibility that it was going to bother me whenever I raised/moved my arms forward because the straps are too wide set. I could have pushed them in forward, but my dress was very wide set at the top, so I left them as is. You can see in the pics below how close to my armpit the straps/cups are.

And last but not least… For some reason after I came back from my lunch break the paper size tag started irritating my skin. I’m sure it was because it was a paper tag and not a fabric tag like most bras. It irritated the hell out of me! I had one of my coworkers come and fix it, because I thought the tag was wrinkled. But about 5 minutes after she fixed it, I felt the irritation again. Since I was wearing a dress, there was no way for me to fix it without taking off both the dress and the bra. And once that bra came off, it wasn’t going back on, so I didn’t try to fix it. I have to decide if I’m going to keep the bra before I cut the tag off.

You can’t really see any irritation, but I felt it.

Claudette Cool Cotton 30E

Color: American tan

About the bra:

It has a low scooped neckline. It’s supposed to be an everyday bra meant to be worn under t-shirts & tank tops.
American tan is a brown color.

It is actually light and airy, like it’s made of t-shirt material. There is a small button at the gore where the wires meet.

There is one vertical seam that goes down the center of the bra.

There is also some sort of side panel on the inner part of the bra, which is visible when worn. 😕

It really is a simple everyday bra.
The review:

Since the 30dd was too small (Review here), and I decided to order the pink dessous and the leopard dessous, I decided to add this bra as well. I didn’t think it would fit nicely. But the 30E, seems to fit nicely.  It’s cute, and comfortable- for the most part. I would love to try a 28E/F in this bra though.

so this is how the bra looks when I first put it on, no swooping and scooping. As you can see there’s a gapping where the strap and the cup meets. And that’s on use bigger side.

But that’s fixed when I swoop and scoop.

Side view. The wrinkling flattens out when I pull the band down.

You can slightly see the side panel. The vertical seam puckers a little bit, but there isn’t any space there.

With a cami:

I think in this pic below, you can see the size difference in my breasts. 😔

I don’t like that the vertical seam is visible. If you were to look quickly, it looks like my nipple.

In this pic it looks like you can see the outline of my areola.

Side view:

I think this is probably the only sift cup bra that gives me the best shape in clothing. If seems to be the closest to my old VS molded bras. I gave t actually wore this bra yet, but I may tomorrow. The only possible issue I see, is that the side of the cup comes up a little high, and irritates my bigger breast. But it doesn’t irritate my smaller breast. It may go away if I lengthen the strap. As of right now I have the straps at the shortest setting (which is how I received the bra). The vertical seam bothers me as well

Altered Claudette Dessous 30E

The original post about the pink Claudette Dessous can be found here.

I felt the band was too stretchy to fit properly. I’m not particularly busty, and my breasts are self supporting, but I wanted the band to be tighter. I did want the cups to be a hair smaller, so I tried to shrink it via the hot water method. The heat did seam to mess up the fibers on the lower half of the cup. Oddly enough it seems like it’s on the upper portion of the lower half (if that makes sense), not the lining part. The hot water didn’t shrink the cups/bra.

First part. I used a non matching thread so you could see. The one website where I saw this used beige thread on a beige bra, so I couldn’t see where exactly they sewed. Initial stitching. Band was still stretchy.

So I went over it in the opposite direction.

This is how it looked line on:

You can see the space at the top of the cup on my smaller breast

Side view

Band is is still very stretchy. 😣

And the gore still doesn’t tack.

As a side note, I went to my room to get something, and you could see my nip through my shirt. I wasn’t even cold.

This was still to stretchy, so I decided to take in the upper part of the band as well.

The gore still didn’t tack. 😕

Initial S&S

Second S&S. Looks better, but I had nipple showing in the ultra sheer area.

I stitched the bottom of the wing

How it looks on:

Although I didn’t adjust the straps, it doesn’t look like the band is riding up anymore.

From the side

The gore still doesn’t tack at the bottom, but the bra feels a lot better. It’s not overtly tight like some of my other bras, but I can feel the difference from before. The cups also fit better. The smaller breast still has some space at the top, but there isn’t much wrinkling. I don’t want to redo what I did, but it looks crazy with the red & blue stitching. If I do end up redoing it, I’ll probably dust off my sewing machine and use that.

Claudette dessous 30E (pink)

Color: pink

About the bra:

Like all of the dessous Bras from Love. Claudette, this bra is made of sheer mesh. This particular bra, is a very stretchy mesh. Too stretchy actually.

The bra is a brighter pink than what I was expecting.

The top of the cup is one layer of fabric, while the bottom is lined.

There is a black ribbon bow at the center gore.

As well as where the straps meet the cup

Around the bra, there is black frilly detailing.

The review:

The band on this bra is so stretchy. Its not big per se, but it’s just very stretchy. Stretchy enough, that if I had bigger breasts that needed support, I don’t think I would get it unless I sized down. I would have sized down in the band, if Claudette had a 28 available in this particular bra, but they didn’t. As I predicted, the cups are tall- tallest gain what I’d like. I do however, think that I have a tall root. That is, I believe my breast tissue starts at a higher point than on some people. There is some room in the cups, but not enough to size down comfortably, in my opinion.

As you can see, there’s some wrinkling in the cup on my smaller breast.

Smaller breast

Larger breast

The gore tacks at the top,

But not at the bottom. I’m not entirely sure why that is, but I suspect it’s because the band is so stretchy.

The side view is okay. Slightly pointy, but not too much.

As with basically all the Claudette bras, except cool cotton, my nipples are above the apex of the bra. This bra is cute, but I don’t love it. It is going to be a bra, that if I keep, I’ll definitely have to alter the band someway. I think if I alter the band, the cups won’t have so much wrinkling in them. I do however wish the cups weren’t so tall. I’ve been wondering, if I got a different size, would I be able to have smaller cups. The size I was thinking, was either a 32C, or a 32D. I think to get a cup as low as it is on the models, I’d need a bra that I’d have to adjust the straps as long as they could go or close to it.

I kind of wish I’d bought one of these 30E Dessous bras in a 30DD, so that I could compare it to the Dessous Sucre, and also, so I could see if the cup size dictates the stretch ones of the band.

Claudette Dessous 30E (leopard)

Color: leopard

About the bra: This is a very cute bra. I originally wanted the leopard with the pink, but that wasn’t available in any of the sizes I would want to try. The whole bra is made from a (very) stretchy mesh fabric.

There is a black bow made of ribbon on the gore

There is also a cute little bow where the straps meet the cup.

A majority of the bra is leopard print mesh.

w/o the flash so you can see the true color.

Even on the band/wings!

The lower portion of the cup is double lined, the inner lining is a beige color.

There is a cute little frilly design going around the bra.

The review:

I’m not particularly in love with this bra. It’s cute, but it doesn’t fit me correctly. The biggest issue is that the band is too big. On my bigger breast, I can tighten the strap so that the metal piece is almost touching my clavicle/top of my shoulder. Doing so makes the bra look very nice, but it’s hurting my shoulder. I                   do, however plan on tightening the band, although I’m not sure which method I am going to use.

I went with the 30E for this bra, because when I read other reviews, a lot of women said it ran a cup size small. I do agree with that. I think if I had went with a 30DD, it would have been too small. The band may have been tighter, but I’d have some quadding on my bigger breast. I would have preferred this bra in. A 28 band, but love Claudette didn’t have this bra in 28 bands. If it came in a 28 band, I’d have had to debate about getting the 28E or the 28F, and I probably would have went with a 28E, because I don’t think an F cup would fit me.

As it is, the bra is ‘cute’. It doesn’t fit the way it looks in pictures/ the way I wanted it to look, but I knew that was going to happen. The cups come up a lot higher than I want them to. It essentially looks like the full coverage bra it’s described as.

Bigger breast

Smaller breast

Side view: As you can’t ell from these pics, the apex of the bra is not in the same place as the apex of my breast.

Bigger breast

Smaller breast

Because the band is big, the bottom of the gore doesn’t tack correctly, and there’s some space.

But it tacks at the top.

When I lean over, there’s a good amount of wrinkling.

The sides of the cup, that connects the band to the straps, is a little on the high side.

As I’ve said, this bra is cute. It’s not the best, and it’s going to require some alterations to get it close to being perfect. I almost want to attempt to turn it into a balconette. But I feel for something like that, I’d have to break out my sewing machine, and I’m still in summer mode. Plus I have to see how the cups fit once I tighten the band. I’m thinking the cups would fit a lot better, with less space (there’s not a lot when I’m standing regular), but I also think it’ll made the sides of the bra cut in more, since it’ll be farther to the back.

it is worth mentioning that the cups on this bra are all mesh, stretch mesh. On my skin it’s rather irritating, but this is just from trying it on, not actually wearing it around. I think it’ll get less irritating as you wear the bra, as well as when you wash it.

Love Claudette order

I just placed my second order with Love Claudette. I placed my order around 6:20, and got an email around 7:20 saying it was shipped. Wow! That was fast. I assume I’ll be getting it either Saturday, or Monday, but most likely Monday. Doesn’t really matter what day it comes, because I’m going to Ocean City Maryland Friday morning and coming back early Monday morning, so I won’t get able to get to it until Monday.

I’m really hoping that all of these bras fit, as I bought 30E for all of them. The Cool cotton is the one I’m really worried about, because it it doesn’t fit, I don’t think I can alter it so that it does. Well, I can, but it’ll be more work than I want too do, and I’ll have to by some fabric to match the brownish color.

I got the leopard print w/ black, but I really wanted the Leopard w/ the pink, but it wasn’t available in a 30 band.

I also got the fluorescent pink. I’m hoping since they aren’t labeled ‘sucre’ that they’ll fit differently from the black w/ pink that I have. I really want them to fit they way they look in the pictures.

 And not like this:

I’m sure it’s wishful thinking because 99% of the models look like the first picture! and 99% of is consumers look like the second picture. And I know it’s full figured and not a balconette/half cup.

Claudette Cool Cotton 30dd

Color: American Tan

About the bra: has a low scooped neckline.

The review:

Apparently on the Love Claudette site it says some women prefer to go up a cup size. while, I did see that little blurb, I wasn’t (and still am not) completely sure of the correct size for myself, so I got a 30DD. I am okay with buying 30DDs, some are okay, some are too big. But I haven’t encountered one that was too small. Until now. I obviously wouldn’t have thought a 30DD would be too small, and I’m not too keen on buying 30DDD/E, since they would most likely be too big. But with this bra, I may have to go up to a 30E…

Without swooping and scooping, this bra doesn’t look too bad, it actually looks like it kind of fits.

But when I swoop and scoop…

The gore is sitting on my breast tissue. You can see the quadboob.

From this view, you can see the side support panel. As well as the quadboob. The side panel’s visibility doesn’t go away with bigger breasts/cups.

The side profile view, is horrendous, there’s no other way to describe it. It makes my breasts look saggy!!! Which they don’t even look in real life! Again you can see the side panel thingy.

Sagginess, quadboob and nipple visibility, all in one pic!

It looks okay with a low cut top. But not a higher cut top.

With my thin maxi dress, you can see my nipples AND the vertical seams.

I really hate hate that this bra fits me like crap, it is so very comfortable. It literally feels like I’m not wearing anything at all.

I’m really really debating on getting the 30E. The fact that I’d have to pay $7 shipping, and Love Claudette doesn’t accept returns is keeping me from purchasing it.

Claudette Dessous Sucre 30dd

Color: black

About the bra:

While this bra in pictures looks like it’s a balconette style, it’s called (and fits like) a full coverage bra.

It is made from mesh, the main parts of the bra are black, with the trimmings, straps and closure being a bright pink. The upper part is one single fabric, while the bottom is double fabric. This bra is sheer.

The bow in the center is also pink

There are also bows where the cups meet the straps.

The straps are pink and relatively thin.

The review:

Okay, so, I tried this bra on twice, just for hell of it, and it fit differently both times. The fittings were only a few dead apart, and I didn’t gain any weight, so I don’t know why there’s a difference. I will post comparison pictures, so you can see the difference.

First try

Second try

The biggest difference I can see in these pics above is that in the first picture, my left breast (which is on the right side of the pictures) looks higher/taller than it does in the second picture. It’s like you can see a clear definition of where my breast starts. Difference #2 is that you can see some wrinkling at the top of the cup on my right breast in the first picture (which is on the left in the pictures). The third difference is that there seems to be more cleavage in the second picture.

First try

Second try

Oddly enough, there is some wrinkling on the cup in the second picture, that isn’t there in the first picture, and also wasn’t present in the set of pictures above. And you can kind of see that in both pictures it looks like the top of the cup is cutting into my tissue. It’s not quite quadboob.

Initially when I tried the bra on, the gore wasn’t racking, but the second time it was.

Firs try- look at that space!

Second try

This is a closeup of the gore from the second time trying the bra on. There’s some slightly wrinkling between the cups.

A close up of the tightness at the top. I don’t think this would be good for someone that’s FOT, because of the pink elastic at the top. However it does stretch.

Another thing I’ve noticed with this bra is that there seems to be some sort of odd ‘dent’ or indentation on the side right where the cup meets the wire meets the band. It doesn’t hurt, it just looks weird.

The side profile looks okay. I’m still getting used to not wearing molded bras, so the side profiles don’t look rounded enough to me, yet.

A few few things I want to point out:

This Claudette bra is called ‘Dessous Sucre’, Claudette makes other bras that are just called ‘Dessous’. I don’t know if there is a difference in the fit, but the description on the Love Claudette website is the same. I do have my eye on one of the ones without sucre in the title, I’m not sure if I’m going to but it yet. I think that possibly the non Sucre Dessous bras are not full coverage, they’re a little less than full,

The mesh on this bra is very scratchy. When I tried it on, I more or less felt like this was a ‘sexy time’ bra, and not an everyday bra. (If you do indeed wear bras during sex)

Another thing I noticed was that it was so thin that the seams show through on tops/dresses that aren’t very thick. When I got cold I was ever so able to slightly detect where my nipple was, because as you can see from the above pics, my nipples are in the sheer area.
