Freya Fancies longline 28E chilli

I decided I wanted this bra after I saw a few reviews of it. Granted, neither review put this bra in the bet light, but it’s red, and its a longline. So I “needed” it. My review will be similar to theirs, but from the prospective of someone that’s FOT (full on top)/has tall roots. The other reviews were also on this red color. I think the black is cute too, but for some reason, the white version doesn’t do anything for me.

Often times when I’m bored, I’ll search for bras, just to look. And when I become fixated on a bra, I’ll google it often, which is what I did with this bra. It seems to be $60 on just about every website, so when I saw it on amazon for $35, I jumped on it. The other reviews I read mentioned going down a cup size, but on amazon the 28DD was $60, and the 28E was $35, so I went with the 28E. The very next day after I ordered the bra, it was $36 on Bare Necessities. I did debate about whether or not to order the 28DD. I knew if I ordered it, one of them would have to get returned, and I try to cut down on the returns I need to do, so I stuck with the 28E from amazon, and prayed that it fit.

I had to iron the cups to get the creasing out, and it didn’t come out completely.

The bra came in 2 days, and much to my dismay, the bra was folded in half, and since it was packaged in a thin envelope, the cups were crushed.

Since I use my brother’s amazon prime account, I had him email Amazon to see what could be done. They originally offered a 20% refund, or a replacement. I opted for a replacement, but when my brother tried to follow the steps to get a replacement, there was only an option for a refund. I didn’t want a refund, so I decided to call about it. When I called, the woman was only able to offer me a refund since the only other available bra in that size was from the UK, and $60. I had to ask if there was some sort of partial refund I could get, since I really wanted the bra, and I was offered $10. With the $10 refund, it brought the price down to $25, so that was good enough for me, since I haven’t seen it for that cheap anywhere.

Was originally going to review this with the wires replaced, but they were too hard, so this is a review of the bra as I received it.

From the front, the bra looks really nice. From an angle the bra still looks nice. But from the side this bra doesn’t look good.

The cups are very lightly lined. They’re not thin enough to be unlined, but they’re not thick enough that I’d call it padded. (If it was unlined, it being folded the way it was from Amazon wouldn’t have been an issue). Although the cup has 4 parts, it doesn’t give a good shape. I think the shape would be considered “upside down seven”. There is no uplift with this bra. I *think* there may be good projection at the wire with this bra, but because the wires are so wide, and the cups were creased, there’s some folding of the cups.

In some of the other reviews it was recommended(?) to size down, but I’m glad I didn’t. My tall roots/FOT-ness definitely wouldn’t work in a size down. A size down would be too small overall actually. I don’t get any quadding, nor is there any cutting in. So IF you want to try this bra, and you’re FOT and/or have tall roots, stay your size, don’t size down. If you are FOB/have short roots, then you can probably size down.

The wires on this bra are extremely soft and pliable. Initially I thought they were plastic, but when I took them out of the casing I saw that they were metal, but very thin. Because the wires are so thin an pliable,  when you’re wearing the bra the wires distort, which is something mentioned in the other reviews (they said once putting the bra on the cups were wide, even though the measure narrow).  When worn the wires go very far back. I did swap the wires out for some wires I got from Sweet cup bra company, but within seconds of putting the bra on, I could feel they were too heavy (at least for this bra. The actual width of the wires/cup is 4.5, which is really .5 an inch smaller what I prefer, but as you can see above, it stretches a good amount.

(^this will hopefully show up as a video of the wires when the bra is stretched)

The wire on the right is from Sweet cup; the wire on the left is the fancies wire. Notice the fancies wire is almost half as thick as the other wire.

A comparison of the wire that came with the bra and the wire from sweet cup

The reason why I could wear this bra with the heavier wires, is because the gore is too wide. The gore is sitting on breast tissue. When I first put the bra on, I don’t really feel it, but after a few hours it hurts (not on Cleo level, but it definitely felt better when I took the bra off). Because the gore comes up relatively high, I would need it to be overlapping for it to not cause any pain.

I do think the band is a hair too small for me, but sizing up would probably make the band too big. I could use a row, maybe 2 of an extender, but I don’t have a 5 row extender. I think the band feeling so tight could have an effect on how the cups/wires are stretching. One thing definitely worth noting, is that literally second after putting the bra on, when I bent over to put my pants on, the bottom of the band in the front flipped up, and stayed that way the whole day. I didn’t fix this because it would keep flipping back up. There isn’t any boning in the band, so the longline is more for show than function.

The straps are wideset, but it doesn’t bother me. The straps are also plain (boring), and stretchy.

As much as I dislike the wires on this bra, I do want to buy it in the pale pink that it comes in. I also want to try it in a 30DD. I wonder if a looser band would prevent the stretching of the wires.

For now, I’m recommending that anyone interested in this bra (that has narrow-average roots) wait until, you, can find this bra on sale.

Freya Crush 30DD

Color: Orchid

The Bra:

It has very colorful–filled with pinks, peach, greens, blues and reds, and perfect for summer.

There is a dark green sticthing that separates the top of the cup from the lace. This one thing would probably make this not good for FOT shapes.

There is a pastel green bow at the gore

As well as where the cup and strap meets

The upper portion of the straps are thick. The straps are technically partially adjustable. But I was able to go above the thicker part.

The floral design goes all the way around the band.

The fit:

Left side

Right side

As you can see the upper lace portion does not lay flat.

The review:

There is a little bit of room in the cups, but not enough that I could size down comfortably. I think if I did size down (28DD) the green stitching below the lace would cut in.

Initially I thought the 30 band was okay, because it doesn’t feel big or overly stretchy, but I think a 28 band would be a lot better. The band doesn’t ride up (from the back pic), but it looks like it is from the side pics. I may possibly (in the future) permanently shorten the band (by taking it in at the hook and eye closure).

I wore this bra all day today (I also wore it 2 other days), and I don’t see or feel any issues. The lace not lying flat does bother me somewhat, but that can be fixed with a simple stitch (of the lace) at the gore.

Panties! Cleo Meg, Cleo Kali & Freya Patsy

Large Cup Lingerie was having a 48 hour flash sale a few weeks ago and I decided to buy some matching panties for some of the bras I have. I got:

Cleo Minnie thong

Cleo Kali brief

Freya Patsy short

Cleo Minnie thong– I have no complaints about these. I think they’re so cute!

Cleo Kali brief– I don’t like these. They have too much coverage in the back for me. The front part of the leg opening seems like it would rub against my skin when worn. The front is very sheer. **I don’t have the matching bra**

Freya Patsy short– I initially wanted to buy the thong, but it was either not available in the size I needed or it wasn’t as cheap as the brief. I can’t remember which, but I still wish I ordered it instead.

I don’t like the way the hem is at the leg opening. I initially thought there was room because they’re slightly too big.

In case you haven’t noticed, I am still wearing my regular panties. I’m not completely sold on the Patsy, or the Kali. They both seem to have more coverage than what I would prefer. I honestly prefer coverage like this

When I initially purchased these panties, I wasn’t even sure if any of them would fit, because they were 3 different sizes (according to the website). The Freyas were size XS, the Kali was size 6, and the Minnie was size 8!

i think I paid about $16 USD, for the three pair, so that wasn’t too bad. The quality of the panties is very nice. The material is nice and sturdy, much like the bras.

If you’re interested in the panties, you can find them here:

About the bra:

This is a bra I got as a swap via braswap. I put the 28dd up for sale, but stated I really preferred an exchange for the same bra in a 28e. I didn’t think someone would have the 28e and need a 28dd, but I got lucky. This bra wasn’t new, but looks like it is.

Every time I’ve seen this bra on a website, I’ve always looked at it as being a yellow bra with black clusters on it.

But in actuality, there are colors other than black

There are a few shades of pink, a blue, and a pale greenish blue color

There’s a black bow at the top of the gore.

There is also a black bow where the cup meets the straps.

The beautiful top portion

The straps

There is some sort of stitching detail throughout the bra.

I just want to mention, that while this bra is a bright yellow, my pictures make it look brighter than it actually is. The picture of the bow by the straps, is the most accurate in color, since I didn’t have the flash on. The fabric has four way stretch, but it’s not overly stretchy

The review:

I am so happy I was able to swap my too small 28DD, for the 28E. This bra fits perfectly. If my breasts grow, it will be too small. But that’s probably not going to be an issue because my breasts don’t change shape/size.

Freya Arabella 28e

Color: black

About the bra:

This bra is completely sheer. It is also very sexy. I can’t even describe it, I have to just show pictures.

There’s a rather long bow at the gore.

The cute design at the top of the cup

a close up

The cup is completely sheer, there’s no double layer on the bottom part of the cups.

There is a pink small bow where the cups meet the straps

The design on the straps

I really love that the pink on this bra is a very light pink.

The review:

This bra… It fits but it doesn’t. I’m not really sure, lol. When initially swooped and scooped, there was still a little bit of room on my smaller breast, where the upper sheer part was, but not on the entire part. But when I scooped in my ‘underarm fat’, it made the bra fit, but kind of cut the tissue in the middle of my chest.

A few things about this bra. The band is tight! I’ve read that freya bands are loose-looser than Cleo’s, but this band is almost uncomfortable. And the gore is slightly irritating me. I think it’s because the band is too tight, and the gore is higher than what I’d like. Also, when I do the second S&S, it makes the sides of the cup higher than normal, so it’s slightly irritating.

When I first got on bratabase and asked for a fit check Arabella was one of the freya bras recommended for me, as well as Siren and Oh la la. I found this on eBay for a low price. So I’m glad I was able to get it.

Color: yellow

About the bra: This is one of the bras I got from a member of A bra that fits, she purchased them for me from Debenhams. Every time I’ve seen this bra on a website, I’ve always looked at it as being a yellow bra with black clusters on it.

But in actuality, there are colors other than black.

There are a few shades of pink, a blue, and a pale greenish blue color

The review:

When I first saw this bra in person, I thought, ‘oh my goodness, this is so cute, I’m glad I ordered it’. And then I tried it on and realized the cups were too small, 😥 I think I have a fear of buying E cups, since my breasts aren’t particularly big. And given the fact that some of my 30DDs are too big, I always think that E cups will be too big. But with this bra, I definitely should have gotten a 28E. I did have both sizes in my cart initially, but I decided to go with the DD. It’s not grossly too small but I do quad in it. I am in the process of trading with an ‘a bra that fits’ member for the 28E.

Larger breast

Smaller breast

An aerial view of the quadding. It even quads on my smaller breasts. So I know it’s too small.

Its so pointy from the side. Hopefully the 28E is less pointy.

View of the back. This is one of the few bras where I have a picture of the back. It’s so hard to take that pic by myself. I just wanted to show that I think the straps are adjusted too long, because the band looks so low on my back.

I can’t wait to get the 28E. I want to see hoe the fit of that differed from this. With this particular bra, I think the strap is very tight. I don’t know if it’s because the cups are too small or not. But if I were to keep this bra, I would definitely need to wear an extender with it.

Freya Pansy 28dd

I got a few bras from Debenhams, because a bratabase user was so kind to order them for me (the particular bras I wanted were on the original Debenhams site, but not the US version). This was my first time trying out Freya bras.

Color: Midnight

About the bra:

It has a beautiful floral design consisting of blacks, blues, white, purples and yellows.

The gore has a bow that is black and blue.

There is a cute little scalloped design on the black lace (which is stretchy).

The lace looks different on the pictures in the models.

There is a cute little decoration throughout the bottom of the bra

Where the strap meets the cup, there is also a black & blue bow.

The back of the bra straps is have black and half of the floral design.

But I feel like that makes the straps only partially adjustable.

Closeup of straps

The review:

I like this bra. It’s cute. I was kind of tight when I was wearing, so I’m probably going to use my bra extenders when I wear it again.

Okay from the side view. Pointier than what I would like, but I’ll live.

I think this bra wouldn’t work on someone that’s FOT. I have a little cutting of the tissue. The lace is stretchy though.

This is the main area that was hurting me when I was wearing the bra. The ‘pain’ started about two hours after I put the bra on. I was on my way to MD, so I had no choice but to continue wearing the bra.

When I took the bra off there were marks on my skin.

I did also notice that on my bigger breast the marks left by the wire were sitting on my breast tissue, not next to it. So I’m thinking I need to either attempt to stretch the wire, slightly, or get a 28E.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is what I wore over the bra. A cami from walmart (for only $1.68!), and a hello kitty tank also from walmart.
Because of how pointy the Freya bras are on me,  I’m hesitant to get more. I am going to attempt a Freya Arabella though.
