GAIA Hermina 65E

This is one of the bras I bought from Misterna.pl. All of the other bras I purchased in that order were padded MAT bras, so this was the only unlined bra from that order.

This was my first time ordering a GAIA bra, and probably my last.

The band

I don’t have a stretched band measurement, but the band ran very small. (When I got the bra, that was a time when I stopped adding the stretched band measurement on bratabase, because I kept getting notifications that my measurements were either too large– but bratabase doesn’t really have the clearest instruction on how to measure a bands stretchiness. It says: “measure the maximum length of the stretched band of your bra” but then it later says: “do not pull to hard as to defer, the wires too much” but in my eyes the maximum the band will stretch will deform the wires.) But anyway, the bra was small enough that I needed to use all 3 rows on an extender. I’d guesstimate that it was around 26 inches (66.3 cm), but the current owner has it stretching to 28 inches.

The gore

The gore on this bra is very wide. At 1.1 inches (2.79 cm) wide and 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) high it’s too wide for me at the top.

You can see how wide it looks when not being worn.

The cups

Initially when I tried this bra on I thought it was too shallow at the bottom because the wires were being pulled by a too tight band. (I’d lost my extenders when I bought this bra). With the extender the bottom of the bra is still shallow, but not as shallow.

With or without the extender, the top of the cup is big on both breasts.

The sides of the cup come up high and are somewhat irritating.

The straps

The straps are nice and thin, and are most likely wide set.

One thing I thought was interesting about this bra, was that on one of the tags it has a price.

This was a cute bra, but it wasn’t going to fit me. Too bad there isn’t more information on GAIA as a brand.

Valea Dalia 65E

Brand: Valea (a Bulgarian brand)

style Dalia

I bought this from eBay some weeks/months back. I actually checked my eBay emails and I had a $15 off $50 coupon. I literally searched for ’65E bra’ and came across this:

Yes, I was swayed by the way the bra looked on the model.

So I incorrectly stated that the Donna bra I recently reviewed was the only Polish unlined bra that fit me. Well this one kind of fits, I just don’t intend to wear it.

The cups

The cups are an unlined halfcup style, with a thin band of elastic at the top. There is a side sling (I can’t tell you if this has an effect on the fit of the cups or not). There is a good amoun of projection at the wire. The cup is made up of 1 layer of sheer mesh, with an ornate design at the top that oddly enough did not show through my thin top.

The straps

The straps are very thin and stretchy- very reminiscent of VS straps. At .4 inches (1.02 cm) it makes me very happy, as I don’t really care for thick straps. The straps are also removable. So theoretically this bra can be worn as a strapless. Without the straps, the top does fall down a little bit

The gore

One of the reasons why I don’t want to wear this bra is because the gore pushes into my skin as soon as I put it on. I will try it on with an extender to see if that alleviates some of the pressure. The gore measures 2.5 inches (6.35 cm), and .75 inches (1.91 cm) across the top.

The band

The band stretches to 28.5 inches (72.39 cm), which is my snug measurement but it feels a little tighter than what I’d like.

I really wish I could get the look I’m going for in unlined halfcups — that is, some sort of ‘push-up’ style cleavage, much like the woman in the pic that made me buy this bra.

Ewa M HM Sekret Wiktorii 65DD

I bought this bra, because 1 I love the way it looks, and 2 because I wanted to try an unlined Ewa bra. I kept going back and forth on what size to get, because there wasn’t a lot of info on unlined bras in my size, as well as a lot of info for this bra in particular. I ended up going with 65DD, because I figured if it was too small it could be a “sexy time” bra. However, even though I sized down, it was still too big.

The straps

The straps are wide set. Actually, too wide for me. I tried this bra on a few times (for mere seconds/less than 5 minutes), and everytime it felt uncomfortable. My shoulders aren’t particularly narrow, so that something to keep in mind if you are interested in this bra.

The cups

When I bought this bra, there were only 2 other people that had owned this bra, and they were both nice enough to measure their bras. Both of them listed the depth as being around 8.1 inches (20.57 cm), with a width of 4.9 inches (12.45 cm). Those 2 measurements work out for me, with the depth possibly being too small. Well, with the bra I received, the depth was 9 inches (22.86 cm), which is too deep for me.

The top of the cup is also open. It’s not like other unlined halfcups that have an elastic piece that goes across the top. There is space between my breast and the top of the cup. I think because the straps are set so far apart, the sides of the cup come up high on me, and irritate my skin.

The gore

The gore is too high and too wide for me. The gore is 3 inches (7.62 cm) high, and about .75 inches (1.91 cm) wide.  If this were a Comexim it would be okay, because the wires are soft, but this isn’t Comexim, it’s Ewa, so the Cleo like wires are painful for me.

The band

The band is TTS, and firm. Sizing up wasn’t necessary (thankfully since that wasn’t something that crossed my mind). The band does stretch to 30 inches (76.2 cm). The band has 4 rows of ‘eyes’ (I do find it interesting that some of my Ewa bras have 3 and some have 4)

I like the way this bra looks (just not on me), and while I would like to reorder it in a smaller cup size, with my luck the band would run small. I also don’t think I have the breasts for unlined halfcups. I haven’t come across one unlined halfcup that I love yet. They all seem to emphasize my natural shape instead of providing some sort of uplift.

Comexim Donna 70E

This bra is literally the only unlined Polish bra that I have that fits. I’ve tried Ewa, Kostar, Valea, GAIA, and some Comexims, and NONE of them fit. *I will try to review some of those unlined bras this weekend/next week.*

In case you’re wondering why I chose this size, it’s because I tried the same bra in 70F and it was too big. 70F being the Comexim size I wear for black bras/tight bands. I was worried that this would be too small, but thankfully it fits perfectly. I do recall reading that with the Comexim (and possibly Ewa) you should size down for unlined bras, but apparently. Forgot by the time I placed my first Donna bra.

The Straps

The straps work for me, but I could see them being a little wide for some people.

The band

As with most black bras, I sized up 1. This was the correct decision, as this band does run small, stretching to 28 inches (71.12 cm)

The cups

The cups are completely sheer. In this size the bottom layer is only 1 piece of fabric. The lace isn’t very stretchy (it stretches up & down, but not side to side). The design on the bra, barely extends past the upper portion. It is also, visible through thin shirts. The fabric is kind of scratchy. I found myself scratching my breasts throughout the day. I’m hoping the fabric gets softer after being washed. One of the things I really like about this bra, is that my nipples line up wth the seams.

The gore

I believe I asked for a reduced gore, and this gore measures 2.5 inches (6.35 cm), so it was reduced about .25 inches (.635 cm)- assuming the unlined bras have the same gore height as the padded bras. The fabric on the bottom f the gore on the inner part, bothers my skin a little bit. It’s because of the design.

The wires

I feel as though the wires may be harder than those on the padded bras, because I can feel the top of the gore, but it doesn’t hurt. The wires aren’t as thick/heavy as the wires on Ewa bras. After taking the bra off, I see the wires are 1-2 mm too narrow.

This is bra is currently still available on Comexim’s website. I wanted to buy the white version since I like this bra so much, but I see it isn’t available in white anymore.

Ewa Michalak M Opuncja 65DD

This bra is one of the bras I was originally offered by ‘Ewa’ to review, but since I didn’t know what it actually looked like (I was told “green & raspberry”), I went with the Jezynka. When this bra, and the M Chaberek were listed on Ewa’s site, I decided to get it (the fact that it was on sale didn’t hurt). Since I was pleased with the Jezynka I decided to get the same size. The Jezynka was my first Ewa bra in the M style, so I assumed they would all fit the same.

When I initially placed this order, I asked Kaska if this bra came in a base color that wasn’t beige. I felt the base being beige was meant to give the bra a lacy nude like appearance. So to get that same appearance, a brown base would look best on me. Káska informed me that the only color they had to use as the base color aside from beige was black, and that if I chose that option, it would be an extra 40zł. 40zł is only about $10, but since I was already buying 2 bras and paying the 6% fee, I didn’t want to add an extra $20. Plus I don’t think black as a base color would look nice, and it most certainly wouldn’t go with my skin.

The base color for the bra is beige, and the lace is a dark turquoise green with pink accent pieces.

The teal lace goes throughout the band.

The inner portion of the cup has a pocket for cookies, with a small opening.

The band

<long deep sigh> The band on this bra is ridiculously small. Ok,Minot ridiculous, but it only stretches to 25.5 inches (64.77 cm), which is 1 full inch smaller than my BTT measurement. I can actually wear it closed without an extender, but I just can’t inhale. I can wear this bra with 3 extra hook/eyes from 1 extender or, up to 5 with varying degrees of comfort. With 1 full extender the band still feels,a little tighter than what im comfortable with. With 1 full extender and 2 extra hooks it feels a little loose. 4 extra hooks feels okay. I do wonder if Ewa is starting to make the band size correspond with the cm- a 65 band only stretching to 65 cm.

The straps

With 5 extra hooks, the straps on both shoulders constantly fall off. This is something that never happens to me. It was very bothersome to me. (Now I know how people with narrow shoulders feel). With 4 extra hooks only the strap on my smaller side kept slipping off. The obvious solution to that is to adjust the straps, but I’m too lazy to do that once I have the bra on. Plus the straps don’t slip when I’m not doing anything (it was when I was at work working that the straps started slipping).

The cups

Width wise and depth wise the cups are in my ballpark, being 5 inches (12.7 cm) and 8.5 inches (21.59 cm) respectively. The cups are nice and low coverage, and there’s a decent amount of projection at the wire.

The appearance with a fitted shirt is kind of pointier than what I normal get from Effuniak bras. I would consider it a natural shape, and not particularly uplifted

This is how the cups look without wearing an extender. (No pads)

Looking at this picture the cups actually look too small.

The gore

The gore is unproblematic for most of the day. One of the times I wore this, I did feel the gore, but it wasn’t really digging in. It’s nice and low at 1.7 inches (4.32 cm). The gore does not overlap at all.

The Wires

The wires encompass my breasts perfectly.

So initially I was going to return this bra. What sense does it make to keep a bra that is obviously too small? But then I looked the bra over, and I saw some damage. There is a small cut in the beige mesh on the inner part of the gore, it looks like it was cute when they were cutting the fabric.

Everything I’ve read about Ewa (the company) tells me that if I were to return this bra, they may not accept it because they would think that maybe I damaged the bra. So with the damage I knew I couldn’t sell this bra without taking a loss, and I *probably* couldn’t return it.

As much as I want to say I lov this bra, I don’t. If the band as tts, I would love it. So, I’ll say I like it a lot. 🙂

Comexim Noir plunge 70F

I got this from a user on bratabase. This was literally my very first Comexim bra. When I bought it I wasn’t 100% sure of my size, but I figured based on the measurements that it would fit. I chose the 70 band because a lot of people mention that black bands tend to run smaller. What’s funny, is that after buying this bra (which is a sister size to my correct Comexim size), I still bought 65F comexims, instead of 65G.

As far as  know, the bra isn’t altered in any way.

The straps

The straps feel okay on me. Some may consider them to be wide set.

The cups

The height of the cups is perfect for me. They aren’t too tall. The cup height measures 6 inches (15.24 cm) The only issue I see with the cups, is that the ribbon part of the bra cuts in a little bit. I would t consider it to be quadding, as it’s not visible through a shirt. Also the lace part below the ribbon doesn’t lie flat (and that can be seen under a shirt).

The gore

The gore doesn’t bother me, I don’t even feel it. The gore measures 2.6 inches (6.60 cm), so this may have a reduced gore. The very top of the wire channels are overlapping, but the wires are not.

The band

Sizing up in the band was a smart thing to do. The band does run 1 size small. I’ve noticed that with Comexim bands, after a few hours the bottom elastic ends up feeling too tight. This bra is no exception. I think I can be considered to have a flared ribcage, but this band thing seemingly only exists with Comexim bras.

I don’t think there’s much I can say about this bra, as it’s just about perfect.

Impimi Adell 65E

First and foremost I was gifted with this bra, when I bought the Nicoll. All opinions are my own.

I have wanted to review this bra for a while, but I’ve been waiting for Impimi to respond to my email. My last email to them was Aug 4th, and they still have not responded.

I emailed them to let them know that this bra as well as the other bra they sent me didnt fit me as well as I liked. They’re bras that I would only wear once (for the purpose of reviewing them), and they wouldn’t get worn again because they’re not comfortable. However, as of writing this, I haven’t worn this bra (or the other bra they gifted me; and the bra I did pay for, I only wore once).

The straps

The straps are somewhat wideset. Not wide enough that they slip off my shoulders, but wide enough that they rub against my skin.

The cups

The cups are just an all around fail for me. There is space at the top of the cups were the lace and the padded part meet, but the very top of the cup is flush against my skin, and the lace isn’t stretchy. There is a band of elastic on the inner part at the top of the cup (where the red decoration is), so if I were to size down, there would be some cutting in. The bottom of the cup is angled upwards, so I get a very pointed appearance, almost like a bullet bra.

The sides of the cup come up very high. It irritates my tail of spence, and this is just from trying it on, I couldn’t imagine wearing this all day. Literally bringing one arm over to scratch the other arm isn’t comfortable.

The wires

The wires are also problematic for me. They are shaped like a Nike check/swoop, and as such, they come up too high for me. I do think if the wire were shorter/more of a U shape the cup would sit better. The length of the wire is 8.75 inches (22.23 cm)

The gore

The gore is too high for me at 3 inches (7.62 cm). Ideally, I can work with Comexim’s gore of 2.75cm at the highest. But because the wires are heavy, the gore is painful. The width of the gore is .75 inches (1.91 cm)

The band

The band is TTS.  There is boning on the side of the band. The back part of the band is stretchier than the wings  (before the boning). The band is riding up somewhat because I have the straps adjusted quite a bit so there isn’t a lot of space in the cup. (Adjusting the straps longer doesn’t stop the strap issue though)

My guess is that this bra would fit someone that has a wide root, and is even (not FOT/FOB), but doesn’t need a ton of depth at the wire, and probably best for someone that has wideset shoulders.

I really wanted this bra to work, but it doesn’t. When I emailed Impimi, I told them that this bra, and the other bra they sent me were a little too big. And asked if they would send a different size. They said they would, and commented that the Nicoll bra that I purchased looked too small
